Many patients come in to the office and they have numbness to their toes when they are working out. It can be walking or on the elliptical. Today I had a patient come in the office and she had some heel pain but also numbness to the front of the foot. I always send my patients to a shoe store to be sized and fit for the right size shoe. She came to find out instead of wearing a 8.5 she wore a 9.5 shoe size. Once she got in the correct size shoe she felt much better when working out and her orthotics are fitting well also. A quick note for the women reading this after every child you usually go up a 1/2 to a whole shoe size so get ready to buy more shoes. You should be able to be sized at a shoe store to make sure you have the right size before buying your shoes.
